Integrity Bank Introduces “Faster” Drive-Thru Banking
Camp Hill, Pa. (June 2, 2003)—The days of waiting in long lines at bank drive-thru windows will be over when the new Integrity Bank opens its first branch on Saturday, June 7th at 3345 Market Street in Camp Hill, according to Jim Gibson, Integrity Bank President/CEO.
“Our revolutionary, time-saving, three-step drive-thru system will provide Integrity customers with drive-thru banking as it was meant to be—fast and convenient,” explained Gibson. “The system is just one of the ways in which Integrity Bank plans to deliver “More. Faster. Better.” banking to Harrisburg.”
Gibson, past President/CEO of Commerce Bank and a highly respected member of the Central Pa. banking community, assembled a high profile Board of Directors from diverse segments of the business community, to design a bank that fulfills, what they believe are, currently unmet banking needs in the Harrisburg area.
“The answers to those needs will be found in Integrity’s people, products, services and buildings,” according to Gibson. “More. Faster. Better.” is not just our tagline it’s how we’ll do business.”
Innovative Drive-thru System
Integrity’s unique drive-thru system is similar in concept to those successfully embraced by the fast-food industry. While no burgers or shakes can be expected to pop out of windows, customers will enter one of the Bank’s four drive-thru lanes and then move through a series of three stations to most efficiently execute their banking transaction. An additional drive-thru lane will serve ATM customers separately.
“About 65% of a typical bank transactions go through the drive-thru, but for some reason the existing banks offer only one or two windows manned by only a third of the banks’ staff,” explained Gibson. “Maybe our competitors aren’t so good at numbers after all.”
Integrity’s Three Step Process
The first station a customer will pass, as they enter one of four Integrity Bank drive-thru lanes, will provide transaction preparation materials such as deposit slips etc…Here they can get their transaction ready if they had not previously done so. When their transaction materials are ready they move forward to station number two to submit their transaction.
At station two, their transaction is submitted into the bank where it is received buy one of four tellers who process the material while the customer moves forward to station number three, freeing station number two for the next person in line to submit their transaction.
The customer will receive their completed transaction back at station three where they can review their paperwork or count their money without delaying the customer behind them.
The additional lane, dedicated for ATM use only, eliminates the inconvenience of having to go through the regular lanes to use an ATM.
Just One of Integrity’s New Concepts
Consumer research and years of experience helped Gibson and his board to create the Integrity Bank business model which focuses on the wants and needs of a satisfied consumer.
“Integrity Bank has been designed to give customers what they need, how they need it and when they need it through more hours, faster service and better products,” explained Tony Schiano, Integrity board member and president of Giant Foods, LLC. “Today’s time-strained consumers, swamped in the 8:00-5:00 window, want banking and retail products and services that enhance their lives not further encumber them.”
The new drive-thru system promises to be just one of many banking innovations which Integrity Bank will be offering to the Harrisburg area.
“The positive response from the community to the banks impending opening has been remarkable,” according to Gibson. “Investors and customers alike have told us and shown us that they are ready for the change that Integrity is going to bring to banking.”
